Rugs make great family heirlooms, serve as beautiful decoration for the home, and protect your flooring. However, that doesn’t mean that they’re indestructible – there may be wear and tear from kids, pets and other things that are outside of your control.

A unique machine called a centrifuge is used to dry the rugs received at the Hadeed-Mercer plant. It spins the rug at 50 G’s – 50 times gravity – to guarantee a full dry. Pick up and delivery is available in Richmond, VA and various areas in Virginia.

At Hadeed-Mercer, we use a special kind of brush with vegetable bristles, which are very soft and work the soap into the rug, for a thorough deep cleaning. Pick-up and delivery to Chesterfield, Virginia or your county.

A crucial factor in cleaning a rug is the question of whether it gets properly dried after the washing. You can do a wonderful job of cleaning the built up dirt, but if you don’t properly dry the rug, you may be creating a new problem.

After washing, every effort must be made to remove the excess water left in the rug. Once this has been done, hang the rug in a dry, warm room with constant air circulation. At the Hadeed-Mercer of Richmond plant, there is a state of the art drying room with a full system to keep dry air flowing on the rugs.
